Real and Atletico Madrid facing transfer ban over their signing of youngsters

It could be an interesting summer in Spain.

With Barcelona currently coming to the midway point of their transfer embargo, the same fate could be handed to both Real and Atletico Madrid. Reports in Spain say that both clubs are being investigated by FIFA over "irregularities in the signing of minors", for which Barca received a 12 month transfer ban last year. While on the outside, it may seem like good news for Manchester United fans and the future of David De Gea, there could be a few twists yet. As we all remember, the Catalan giants were given a grace period to stock up on tinned goods and players last summer while they appealed their ban, allowing them to sign Luis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic and more before the embargo came into place, so if the pair are slapped with a ban, expect the wallets to be bursting this summer.
