Reckon you've played on terrible football pitches?

Well, you've probably never played on anything as bad as this. CAD34w3WgAA_lYLEnglish Conference side Halifax Town hosted Bristol Rovers today at Shay Stadium on this monstrosity of a pitch, which looks about 10 per cent grass, 90 per cent sand and 100 per cent awful. pitchHalifax manager Neil Aspin said before that fans coming to the game today should not expect free-flowing football. "I'm not going to criticise the players too much because I’ve walked on the pitch... and you’re asking players to try and pass and be creative on that and it’s very, very difficult".
