Few can deny that adidas have worked their magic on the new Man United retro gear.
The vintage range, sold under their adidas Originals brand, is a triumph in style, nostalgia and knowing what the fans want. There's something wonderfully old-school about the apparel. It harks back to the days before Sky, before the Premier League - before modern football. A time when expressing one's allegiance to a particular club meant something.
It's not like today when football clubs are chosen dependent upon current form and fortunes. The game is so fickle these days. It's not...authentic like it was back in the day.
Except a word of advice - if you are going for the 'authentic' proper fan look, it's probably a bad idea to pair your very cool 1985 Man United tracksuit with retro Chelsea pants - never a good look.
