It's very hard to rate players when none of them touched the bloody ball.

You could say Ireland were taught a lesson in Georgia during their 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw on Saturday evening but it's not a class that they generally seem too keen to pay attention in. There were no real new problems: they went ahead early - too early and all that - they sank deep, they soaked up pressure, they hoofed ball and they were completely dominated by the sixth seeds of Group D. But the media and the critics will be told that they are being either too negative, too clueless and too ambitious for pointing out the fact that Georgia outplayed Ireland for expressing frustration that Martin O'Neill's men didn't even seem to try and win. Now they're two points off Serbia in top spot and under more pressure with three games left to even make a playoff spot. Here's how the players got on and they very luckily got out with a draw. Darren Randolph 6 Jersey. Cyrus Christie 6 Delivery. Shane Duffy 5 Shithousery. https://twitter.com/PadraigMacL/status/904013935514411008 Ciaran Clark 6 Firefighting. Stephen Ward 4 Hoofing. Glenn Whelan 3 Hologram. https://twitter.com/ConanDoherty/status/904021580308770816 Harry Arter 4 Bad. Jon Walters 4 Peripheral. Robbie Brady 4 Wesless. James McClean 7 McClean. Shane Long 6 Channels. Subs Aiden McGeady 4 Notions. Daryl Murphy 4 Unused.
