Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo became two of the biggest names in Major League Soccer when they joined New York City FC over the summer months.

With Steven Gerrard also signing for LA Galaxy and a new MLS deal being agreed with Sky Sports, us Brits are seeing more and more of America's top flight. Although it might appear that the sport's popularity is increasing in America, the following incident reminds us that it's still got a long way to go.
