Late on Friday night (early on Saturday morning), images began to emerge of disgruntled Scottish players lolling around Tbilisi International Airport following their 1-0 defeat to Georgia.

'They had to refuel. There was no other food for them to have. Where were these sports scientists who should have been checking everything that we have been hearing about?
