The Spurs manager confronted Mike Dean after Burnley's 2-1 win against Tottenham on Saturday
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been charged with improper conduct by the FA following his actions after a 2-1 defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday. Pochettino was filmed by television cameras angrily confronting Mike Dean after the full whistle, an incident he later admitted was out of character. The Argentine admitted he 'crossed the line' and later apologised to Dean. The reaction was in part due to Burnley's opening goal, which came directly from a corner that was incorrectly awarded to the Clarets. A statement from the FA read: "Mauricio Pochettino has been charged with two breaches of FA Rule E3 following the game against Burnley on Saturday [23 February 2019]. "It is alleged the Tottenham Hotspur manager's language and/or behaviour at the end of the fixture - both on the pitch and in or around the tunnel area - amounted to improper conduct. "He has until 18:00 on 28 February 2019 to respond to the charge." Mike Dean has also been moved from his fourth official duties for Spurs' game at Chelsea on Wednesday.Explore more on these topics:
