With no chance of working his way into Madrid's first-team this season, the club are prepared to send Odegaard out on-loan, according to Marca.
The Spanish media outlet claim that the club and Odegaard's father feel that the player needs first-team football to continue his progression.
Madrid have suggested sending him to a lower league Spanish club, but the midfielder would prefer a move to the German Bundesliga.
The player, if he's still with the club, will join Madrid's first-team in Montreal later this month for the beginning of pre-season.
