With Zinedine Zidane preparing for the meeting with Juventus at the weekend, it's being reported that Real have lodged a £60m bid with United for De Gea. News of the development comes from The Sun, who claim that the 26-year-old 'wishes to return home'. They also state that although United have knocked back the bid, Real are set to come back with an improved offer.
De Gea, who signed for United from Real's city rivals Atletico in 2011, will become the world's most expensive goalkeeper if the deal does eventually go through.
