It's a good couple of months before the transfer window metaphorically opens up again, but seeing as it's the international break and there's not much to talk about, it's clearly high time we indulged in a bit of gossip about a transfer that will probably never happen.
As is often the case with this sort of thing, Manchester United are at the centre of it, with Jose Mourinho said to be eyeing up a move for a 23-year-old Brazilian defender whose name probably means nothing to you unless you're well up on your South American football.
What we do know is that he's called Rodrigo Caio and currently plays for Sao Paulo. He also played for his country's gold medal-winning Olympic team in Rio the other months. Luckily for United fans who want to pretend to their Twitter followers that they've been watching him for years, he's done enough in his career to warrant his own YouTube highlights video, which comes complete with the obligatory piece of dance music.

So, how far down the line is such a deal? Well, according to the Daily Star, United have yet to start talks with Sao Paulo about a potential £12m move, meaning it's absolutely nowhere near. If they do get him, the report suggests Mourinho may end up using him as a midfielder.
Surprise, surprise, United will also have to beat several other clubs to his signature, including the likes of AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
