Manchester United have just confirmed their second signing of the day

A busy weekend for Ed Woodward.
The signing of Bastian Schweinsteiger was announced earlier today and now Manchester United have added a defender to their squad. It was widely expected that Torino's Matteo Darmian would join the club sooner rather than later and the club confirmed his acquisition on their Twitter account this evening.

Darmian is United's third signing of the summer after Schweinsteiger and Dutch midfielder Memphis Depay. It will be interesting to see if the club move to bring in a replacement for Fenerbahce-bound Robin van Persie in the near future.
