At the tail end of last summer's transfer window, news that Manchester United were lumping a huge fee on some 19-year-old French kid who nobody had heard of was greeted with a fair amount of confusion.

However, Manchester United's striking options are still a little on the light side, with some suggesting that Louis van Gaal may want to address this in the January transfer window. Yet again, it appears that he could be willing to take a chance on another exciting youngster.
