The Belgian international, who has been one of the most consistent defenders in the Premier League in recent years, is yet to agree a new contract at White Hart Lane/ Wembley. Now, a report in The Times claim Spurs are open to selling Alderweireld as discussions about a new deal stall.
The 28-year-old is thought to have asked for an improved deal of around £150,000-a-week. Daniel Levy is thought to have rejected this, leaving the club to explore the possibility of selling him - a decision backed by Mauricio Pochettino.
