Loris Karius denies making remark about female fans in Turkey

Loris Karius claims that he never said what he is reported as saying this week.

Some unusual quotes were attributed to Karius in the Turkish media but the goalkeeper, who is on loan at Besiktas from Liverpool, denies ever saying them. Turkish publication Fanatik claimed that Karius had proudly discussed his popularity among female supporters in Turkey and reportedly boasted about being inundated with requests for photographs, with several UK outlets subsequently picking up the story. Jurgen Klopp will hope that Karius will be able to recapture his confidence in Turkey and return to Anfield a more assured 'keeper.
