When the draw for the Europa League quarter finals was made, many Manchester United supporters saw Liverpool paired with Borussia Dortmund and expected that to be that.

Those supporters then went back to calculating what their team needed to finish in the Premier League's top four, hoping to never have to think of that Europa stuff ever again. Not so.
