Liverpool fans will not be happy with their bad news regarding the Europa League draw

Liverpool's poor record in Europe over the last five years makes this season's Europa League an even more daunting challenge.
The Reds have been relegated to Pot 2 of the Europa League group stage draw due to their poor results in European football as of late. Liverpool's coefficient score has dropped to 47.078 which places them outside the top 12 clubs who could qualify for the group phase of the competition.
Brendan Rodgers' side could now face teams such as Schalke, Basel, Napoli, Marseille, Villarreal or Fiorentina when the groups are decided.
Just six years ago, Liverpool found themselves ranked as the top club in Europe with a coefficient score of 114.077 but have seen that plummet after being knocked out of the Europa League in the round of 32 in both 2012/13 and 2014/15, in the tournament's round of 16 in 2010/11 and failing to qualify for Europe at all in 2011/12 and 2013/14.
