It's not uncommon for football fans to suffer from a bit of transfer deadline day desperation, and it seems some Liverpool fans are experiencing precisely that with time running out for the club to pick up a new left back.

Since Alberto Moreno's nightmarish second-half in the Europa League final last May, it was widely expected that Jurgen Klopp would prioritise a new left back over the summer. However, with hours remaining before the transfer window closes, it seems Klopp - who recently fielded James Milner in the position - has not plans to strengthen the left side of his defence. Many of those who hold Liverpool dear to their heart are concerned: https://twitter.com/Norwegian_Sakho/status/771000091243057154 https://twitter.com/LfcDaverob/status/770989370920800256 One option that almost no Liverpool supporter had considered until today was former full-back Alvaro Arbeloa. The Spaniard left Liverpool in 2009 for Real Madrid and was released at the end of the season, making him a free agent. Although he played predominantly as a right back during his time on Merseyside, news that the 33-year-old had entered talks with West Ham was enough to prompt some Liverpool supporters to question why Klopp hadn't made a move for him. https://twitter.com/SeanLFC11/status/770996934677032960 https://twitter.com/Tahrrific/status/770993319052709888 https://twitter.com/mattmack_7/status/770993821299707905 https://twitter.com/CapeTown_Bru/status/770993247900594176 https://twitter.com/KloppRevxlution/status/770992147122253825 https://twitter.com/ConnorwilsonLFC/status/770990477961269249 https://twitter.com/TSoIstanbul/status/770990799626600448 Although his age means that he's almost certainly not the same player that left the club for Madrid seven years ago, it's hard to argue why Klopp *wouldn't* have moved to bring him back to the club - especially on a free.
