Not only did the Crystal Palace boss mastermind a 1-1 draw away at once-title-chasing Arsenal at the weekend, he also did it while resisting the urge to throw on Karim Benzema. Unbeknown to all of the football world, Pardew somehow managed to complete the signing of the Real Madrid star outside of the transfer window, naming him on the Palace bench for Sunday's league trip to the Emirates. Unfortunately for poor Karim, the wait for his first minutes in a Palace shirt goes on.
