Juventus break down the insane amount Mino Raiola made from Paul Pogba’s Manchester United return

Paul Pogba's move back to Manchester United was undeniably the transfer story of the summer.

Four years on from moving to Juventus for absolutely nothing, United forked out a world record fee to bring him back to Old Trafford. Exactly how the deal for Pogba worked out became a little clearer following Juventus' AGM meeting on Tuesday, at which Beppe Marotta - one of the club's directors - explained some of the finer details behind the transfer. The standout headline is that Mino Raiola, Pogba's agent, netted a whopping €27million commission for the part he played in making the deal happen (more than enough for him to splash out on Al Capone's old Miami mansion). As for Juve, they calculate their profit on the player to be around  €72m (around £55m at the time of the deal) with Marotta keen to stress that Pogba had no plans to stick with the Turin club any longer:

"He arrived from United and after four years with us he decided to return to England. He wanted to leave at all costs. "The price tag we asked was €105milllion plus €5m bonus in the case that the player renews his contract with the club or is sold for more than €50m. "We made around €95m. Mino Raiola, his representative, will be paid €27m. Net of fees the profit on Pogba is around €72m. "We didn't want to sell him. We wanted him to put roots down at Juventus."

Don't start knocking Raiola though, we're sure that he earned every Euro cent of that commission fee. It must've been a very, very stressful summer for the man. Pogba has scored three times since his return to England but has failed to show any kind of consistency as he adapts to life in Jose Mourinho's United team.
