Jurgen Klopp explains why he doesn’t want Liverpool fans to sing his name

You'd be forgiven for thinking that all is rosy in Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool garden at this moment in time.
Saturday evening saw Anfield host its first game of the 2016/17 season following the opening of its shiny new Main Stand, and the home side marked the occasion by humbling the reigning Premier League champions, Leicester City.
Klopp's side ran out 4-1 winners, with a brace from Roberto Firmino and strikes from Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane getting Liverpool off to an exciting start at their new-look stadium.
Although the former Borussia Dortmund boss seemed happy with the result, he also used his post-match press conference to warn Liverpool supporters about singing his name during the match.

Shortly after Liverpool went 3-1 up, the Kop were heard singing Klopp's name. Almost immediately, Jamie Vardy forced Simon Mignolet into a save when clean through on the Liverpool goal.
"I have to say, because I don't know how else I can say this, please don't sing my name before the game is decided. Immediately when the Kop started singing 'Jurgen Klopp la la la' they were clear on Simon Mignolet. It's like celebrating a penalty before you have scored! "I don't play! It's nice, I like all the players, but please don't sing my name before the game is decided. It was the same against Arsenal. It's nice, but it's not necessary. It would be really nice if you could stop please! "I wanted to say this, because (at the time) nobody could understand me. I know it doesn't sound too smart, but sorry. That's me. It's very nice, thank you very much. But I've heard it often now!"
