Juan Mata donates toys to Manchester charity

Manchester United's Juan Mata has donated toys for children on a visit to a Manchester children's charity.

The Spaniard visited Wood Street Mission, an organisation that helps families affected by poverty in Manchester and Salford, on Thursday afternoon. The Manchester United Foundation - the club's charitable arm - were also involved with the visit. https://twitter.com/WoodSt_Mission/status/811965990074458113 Later in the afternoon, a tweet from the charity confirmed that Mata had dropped off the toys for some of the children that are helped by the charity, as well as stopping to hear more on how the organisation helps the local community. https://twitter.com/WoodSt_Mission/status/811967283182632960 The news comes just a week after Rio Ferdinand, one of Mata's former Manchester United teammates, donated over half a millions pounds' worth of toys to Manchester radio station Key 103's Cash for Kids Campaign.
