However, ever the competitor, Wall has been undergoing a long rehabilitation process in the hope of walking again, and it seems his inspiring story is now giving a motivational boost to a Premier League star.
This afternoon, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere tweeted this message of support to Wall, encouraging the footballer to continue the fight, using the phrase Wall has made his own, "Never give up, never let up".
