James Milner made A LOT of Liverpool fans eat their words with his match-winning assist

Boring? Not for a minute.

Liverpool's Europa League quarter final against Borussia Dortmund certainly lived up to billing. Within the first eight minutes of the kick off Liverpool went from needing no goals to reach the semi-final to needing three as Dormund raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Divock Origi gave Liverpool hope with a smart finish at the start of the second half, but Marco Reus' cool finish seemed to put the tie behind Jurgen Klopp's side. But not quite as goals from Philippe Coutinho and Mamadou Sakho brought the game back to 3-3 on the night and 4-4 on aggregate. And then in the dying minutes Dejan Lovren headed home the winner to make it arguably the most dramatic European night at Anfield since the Champions League semi-final second leg against Chelsea in 2005. But before that winner, as Liverpool launched their attempted comeback, one thing happened time and time again that sapped their momentum and brought groans and howls of frustration from the Anfield crowd: James Milner's corners.
