An international footballer with more than 100 appearances in the Dutch top flight has been accused of match-fixing by the country's football association.
Ibrahim Kargbo, who played for Eredivisie team Willem II, faces allegations relating to two matches - one against Utrecht and a friendly against Sierra Leone, for whom he played at international level.
"The investigation of the unit shows that Ibrahim Kargbo, a player with Willem II, made an appointment with matchfixer Wilson Raj Perumal about the loss of Willem II in the match against FC Utrecht on August 9, 2009," the KNVB alleges in a statement.

Kargbo, who spent most of his professional career in Belgium and The Netherlands, had already been suspended by Sierra Leone authorities over match-fixing allegations.
"We hope...[this discovery]...contributes to the urgency in the Netherlands to combat this scourge in the sport," KNVB operations director Gijs de Jong said.
