These words, coupled with the Chinese flag and bank note emojis, implied that Carragher was set to follow a number of European-based players by signing up to a lucrative contract with one of the Chinese Super League sides.
Being honest, we suspected something wasn't quite right here and soon enough a further tweet from Carragherclarified what was actually going on.
Quoting the original tweet, Carragher explained that he wasn't responsible for it, adding it was probably the work of a hacker. Despite this, he didn't completely rule out the idea of a move to China and suggested he'd be happy enough to sign a big-money deal.

This comes just hours after Manchester United's Ashley Young was linked with a move to Shandong Luneng. Young, who is now 31, has hardly featured for United under José Mourinho this season and has been linked with a move to several Premier League clubs during the January window.
