Liverpool fans may remember Marvin Pourie's name from Rafael Benitez's glorious reign at Anfield. The German striker was snapped up by the Spanish coach in 2007 as an exciting youngster, and netted 12 goals in his first year with the Under-18s.
After failing to break through to the first-team squad at Melwood, he returned to Germany with Schalke, before eventually forging a successful career in the Danish Superliga. Now 26, he plies his trade for Randers FC.
Despite not quite reaching the pinnacle of European football, Pourie has never lacked for passion and commitment, and that was very clearly evident in a quite outstanding post-match rant after Randers dropped points at home to Silkeborg.
The hosts took the lead and looked to be controlling the game, only for the visitors to leave BioNutria Park with a point with a second-half equaliser. Pourie was not best pleased and made his feelings clear on Danish Television.
When asked whether he was frustrated with the result, he well and truly let rip:
"Was I really frustrated? No. I was absolutely PISSED OFF. Because what we showed in the second half is the most stupidest thing I've ever seen in my whole FUCKING career. We were leading 1-0. I'm talking about the one goal is not enough. AND WE KEEP ON DOING THE SAME THINGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN...The point is we're doing this SHIT all over again in the second-half!"https://twitter.com/mettecornelius/status/898649118259658753 The language may have been a tad salty, but we'd love to see Theo Walcott effing and jeffing like this on MOTD.
