Hair today, gone tomorrow.

This is certainly a new one on us. We've heard of the armed forces taking a hard stance on fancy hairdos, but never a football authority. Alas the powers that be in the United Arab Emirates have no time for fancy head ornamentations. According to Middle Eastern football news website AHDAAF, the UAEFA disciplinary committee have found 47 players in the Arabian Gulf League guilty of 'unethical haircuts' according to new rules. That seems to include the crime of simply having large hair, as well as weird and wonderful designs. It all seems very subjective too, as two players with very similar barnets have been treated very differently. Suhail Al-Mansoori was reportedly told his afro-style look was 'unethical', whereas Omar Abdulrahman's was deemed fine. Most odd... https://twitter.com/ahdaafme/status/831591675541716992 It certainly doesn't look good for the likes Marouane Fellaini, Paul Pogba and David Luiz, if they have any aspirations of plying their trade in the UAE. Of course, Twitter being Twitter, the footballing fraternity as a whole has wasted no time in taking the piss out of a somewhat bizarre rule... https://twitter.com/mwarne/status/831814853731958784 https://twitter.com/6thofjun/status/831802325740105728 https://twitter.com/jg_klomp/status/831575891838894080 https://twitter.com/PhilippeAuclair/status/831799103046705153 https://twitter.com/OstlundWept/status/831800933453557760 https://twitter.com/jackkenmare_/status/831802819128729604
