Emmanuel Adebayor is never far from controversy, and the striker is making headlines again, as he returns home to Togo for "personal reasons".
Last month, the Spurs striker claimed his own mother was using "Juju", a form of witchcraft to try end his career, and now the club have confirmed that they have granted him a leave of absence.
A club statement read: "We can confirm that Emmanuel Adebayor has been given permission to return home for personal reasons.
"This is a private matter and so we will not be providing any further comment."
Adebayor has scored just two goals this season for the club, and hasn't played a game for the club in over four weeks.
