Diego Costa could be set for a La Liga return

The most hated striker in the Premier League could be set to become the most hated striker in La Liga once more.

Atletico Madrid are considering a move to bring Diego Costa back to the Vicente Calderon by triggering his £28m release clause, according to Mundo Deportivo. Costa joined Chelsea from Atletico for around £32m back in 2014 and impressed in his first season, as he helped Chelsea claim the Premier League title at a canter. But things have not been so straightforward for the Spain international this year, as he has scored just four times and his relationship with Jose Mourinho appears to be strained. A series of injuries have also hampered the 27-year-old's performances, while he also appeared to be overweight at the start of the season. According to Spanish publication, Mundo Deportivo, his old employers are offering him an escape from Mourinho, the dugout and those irritating bibs.
