The 39-year-old had a stormer for Juventus as he saved a first half penalty and repelled plenty of other pops at his goal, including this stunning reflex stop of a deflected shot. He was already on the deck when he shot that right arm up and swatted the ball up and over the bar. That save caught to attention of a man currently top of many folk's No.1 goalkeeper in world football [or something catchier] list - David De Gea. The Manchester United goalkeeper was in stunning form in the 0-0 draw against Liverpool and won his team a point with world-class saves from Emre Can and Philippe Coutinho. Still, he found the energy to bang off a tweet praising 'Gigi'. https://twitter.com/D_DeGea/status/788468684981501952 This is how goalies do. There's a lot of love there. It is worth noting, Juventus considered replacing Buffon with a 17-year-old De Gea nine years ago. He has been getting them out of scrapes ever since. Top stopper but he can't lay his hands in cement for sh*t.
