Daniel Sturridge seals loan move to West Bromwich Albion

Daniel Sturridge will spend the rest of the season at West Brom.

Having hardly featured for Liverpool this season, the striker has completed a loan switch to The Hawthorns as he seeks to force his way into Gareth Southgate's England squad for this summer's World Cup. He rejected the opportunity to join Newcastle in a similar deal. His move to West Brom comes barely 48 hours after the Midlands club knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup with a surprise 3-2 victory at Anfield - presenting (*checks spelling carefully*) Grzegorz Krychowiak with the opportunity to crack the obvious joke... The Polish midfielder, also a loanee at The Baggies after signing a season-long deal from Paris Saint-Germain, was quick to reply to the tweet confirming that Sturridge's loan deal had been finalised.
