Damien Duff has torn into his Shelbourne players just days after their FAI Cup win against Bray Wanderers.
Fresh off the back of a memorable European night, in which Shels advanced to the second qualifying round of the Conference League, they were back in domestic action was they took on the second tier outfit.
Sean Boyd's goal was enough to secure passage to the next round but it wasn't all their own way as Bray narrowly missed out on a late equaliser that would've forced the game to extra time.
Duff even admitted that he felt that Bray would've gone on to win the game had they been forced to play an extra 30 minutes and questioned the attitude of some of his players at the end.
"Guys who haven’t been playing a lot and were knocking on my door, they shouldn’t be knocking on my door any time soon, if they do I won’t answer," he exclaimed.
"Guys coming on thinking the spot is theirs, they played with a real arrogance, an arrogance that disgusted me, disgusted a lot of people in that dressing room, it was a horrible day."
As Duff continued his rant he remarked about how his team had dropped their usual high standards and who failed to prove a point will struggle to get game time going forward.
"I am not trying to put a dampener on things but since this staff came in we built it on standards and driving each other. I saw none of that in Bray on the pitch," he said angrily.
"I would have done anything to win but there’s a way to win."
