Crystal Palace photoshopped injured Pape Souare into their official team photo

Crystal Palace defender Pape Souare will be out of action for a long while after suffering serious injuries in a car crash.

The Senegal international was airlifted to hospital after the motorway accident, and manager Alan Pardew confirmed he is not expected back in action before the turn of the year due to a broken thigh bone. Souare has begun the recovery process, but was not ready to return to Selhurst Park for the pre-season team photos. However his recovery is unlikely to come in time for the Africa Cup of Nations in January, where Senegal will hope to improve on their group stage exit from 2015.
