For 90 minutes, Conor Sammon was the bane of Rangers' fans existence.
Republic of Ireland international Conor Sammon turned a lot of heads with his dazzling display against Rangers in the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday.
Sammon, who's on loan for Partick Thistle from Hearts, played a full game as his side was eventually bested by the Glasgow outfit in extra time. The Dubliner tore Rangers' defence to shreds on several occasions but was just lacking that finish to get his name on the scoresheet.

Rangers must have thought they had done enough to contain Sammon and secure a routine win after Carlos Pena's header fired them into the lead just after the break. However, right on the 90 minute-mark, Sammon became a thorn in their side yet again.got his noggin onto the end of an Adam Barton cross from the right wing
The Dubliner got his noggin onto the end of an Adam Barton cross from the right wing and nodded right into Kris Doolin inside the box. Unmarked and six yards out, Doolin made no mistake with the finish that went crashing into the roof of the net.
Fatigue saw Sammon prove to be ineffective in extra time, but for the first 90 minutes he was (jokingly) compared to every great under the sun, from Lionel Messi to both Ronaldos.
