Conor McGregor lets slip that Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new contract

Conor McGregor appears to have let slip that Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new deal with Real Madrid.

The pair are pals, and recently spent some time together in the United States. Ronaldo was on holiday at the end of a long season, and McGregor was preparing for his rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 202. https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/758251105021296641 The subject of contracts seemingly came up, because McGregor appeared to reveal on Saturday that Ronaldo has signed a new deal at Real Madrid, before the club or the player made it official. The Dubliner was asked at an event on Saturday if he could overtake Ronaldo in the Forbes list of top-earning sports stars, McGregor replied:

"That'll be tough, he's just signed a new contract with Real Madrid but we'll see, maybe next year I'll have him."
