Brendan Rodgers may have gone too far with his praise for Luis Suarez

Brendan Rodgers has showered praise on Luis Suarez ahead of their reunion at the Nou Camp on Tuesday.

Barcelona host Celtic in the Champions League tie, and Luis Suarez will be looking to put a few past his former manager's team. Rodgers worked with the Uruguayan striker for two years at Liverpool, and the pair almost won the Premier League title before Suarez joined Barcelona in 2014 and the wheels came off Rodgers' Liverpool side. But when it worked at Liverpool, Rodgers' team were a joy to watch and it's no wonder the Northern Irishman has happy memories of his former player. While we agree that Suarez is a brilliant player, who has improved a world class Barcelona team, and that he possesses a strong work ethic, it's arguably a bit over-the-top to call Suarez "one of the most beautiful men you can come across."
