When it rains it pours for Louis van Gaal.
Many assumed Wayne Rooney was being rested when he wasn't listed in the squad to travel to Denmark for Manchester United's Europa game with FC Midtjylland.
But now it has emerged that he will face up to two months on the sidelines after suffering knee ligament damage.
It means he is likely to miss crucial ties against Shrewsbury, Arsenal, Watford, West Brom, Crystal Palace, Man City, Everton and Spurs.
