Life as a professional footballer isn't as glamourous as you thought.
Barry Bannan's once promising career took a detour to Bolton recently, and it appears the Scottish midfielder might be struggling to get to grips with the high-speed life living in the north west of England.
Bannan tweeted this afternoon that things are so bleak in the town that he resorted to going to see 50 Shades of Grey, on his own.

Naturally, mass ridicule ensued, although his fellow on-loan Bolton teammate Adam Le Fondre seemed to empathise with his situation.

Bannan did offer up an explanation to his teammate, saying the delights of daytime TV just didn't cut it in his fast paced life. To be honest, we'd go with Cash in the Attic all day long, although admittedly we're bigger Bargain Hunt fans.

Things then got a little uncomfortable, for both Bannan and his 12,000 or so followers. The mental images are frightening.

Who knows, maybe next time Bannan can explore some of Bolton's other hidden gems, such as the Bolton Steam Museum, the Lancashire Mead Company, or even the Fred Dibnah Heritage Centre.
Someone buy this man a set of golf clubs, fast.
