But that may not have been the wisest course of action as Arter admitted after the game that he may have to undergo a scan on his leg.
"It was a little bit sore. I’ll probably have a scan on it on Monday, so fingers crossed it won’t be anything too serious," Arter told the Bournemouth Echo.
"It was very sore in the second half but I was able to get through the game. I just tried to grit my teeth and get through it. We'll assess it now."
Arter did not train with the Irish squad at Abbotstown on Monday as he remained with the Cherries to be assessed.
