It's been a difficult couple of years for Kevin Doyle, but he's set to begin a new chapter of his career this summer, after signing for the Colorado Rapids.
Doyle has had to endure a difficult couple of seasonS, with Wolves being relegated to League One before a resurgence this season, and Doyle departing for unsuccessful loan spells at QPR and Crystal Palace.
The 31-year-old has been a bit-part player for Wolves in that time, having been an integral part of the side during their three seasons in the Premier League from 2009 to 2012.
But the 61 times capped international has now put pen-to-paper on a deal with the Rapids, joining fellow Irishmen Robbie Keane and Sean St Ledger stateside.
He'll move to Colorado at the end of the English season, and peaking to the club's website, he says Robbie's influence was a big factor in the move.
"I know from talking to Robbie Keane that MLS is a great league to play in and I look forward to being another top Irish player there.
“I will be sad to leave Wolves, a truly great club that I've had the privilege to play for. I will always be grateful to the fans for their support; it is they who make Molineux such a special place.
“To be involved in the current squad that is on an exciting run is now my only focus, as it would mean so much to me to see us get back to the Premier League.”
