Alex Ferguson has weighed in on Gary Neville’s appointment as Valencia boss

When Alex Ferguson handed them their debut in the early 1990s, surely he couldn't have predicted that the Neville brothers would have ended up running the show on the east coast of Spain.
It was announced on Wednesday that Gary Neville would join up with brother Phil at Valencia as head coach until the end of the season. Phil had been coaching at the Mestalla since July and Valencia owner Peter Lim will be hoping that the club can improve on their early season form to break into the European places (Valencia are currently in 9th place in La Liga).
And the Neville brothers' former manager Alex Ferguson has backed them to work well together in Spain.
"Gary has many attributes that suggest he will be successful in management," Ferguson told Sky Sports. "His leadership skills are strong, he's honest and he's hard working. He is the type of character who is not afraid of making big decisions, which is a vital skill when leading.
