How he wasn't carded at the time, we'll never know.
Dangerous rucking is starting to come under rugby's spotlight. Saracens' Billy Vunipola was made sweat by the EPCR yesterday after he was cited for leading with his lead into a ruck against Leicester. Vunipols was ultimately cleared, but we'd be surprised if Grenoble's Hendrik Roodt had a similar result.
Roodt was cited for this incredibly dangerous clear-out against Toulon's Virgile Bruni at the weekend, after he charged into the player who was attempting to win the ball, failing to wrap his arms around the player, and catching him on the face with his shoulder.
Referee Jerome Garces initially awarded Grenoble the penalty, but on consultation with the touch judge, reversed his decision.
Roodt will be incredibly lucky to avoid a suspension, we reckon.
