We should have known better that when the name Taku Ngwenya popped up as a try-scorer for the US Eagles it would be a ripper. The Biarritz winger took only three minutes to zip into fifth gear and leave the Romanian defence in shreds.
Ngwenya’s opener set the USA up for a 27-17 win over Romania. Next up for the victors is an encounter with Tonga, who defeated Georgia at the weekend.
