WATCH: The full melee between Conor McGregor and Cody Garbrandt in The Ultimate Fighter gym

"Do something then"

Conor McGregor is fast overtaking Dominick Cruz in the P4P list of fighters who can get under the skin of Team Alpha Male.

First he tussled with Urijah Faber ahead of the UFC 189 weigh-ins, then he fought Chad Mendes for the interim UFC featherweight title and then he began referring to TJ Dillashaw as a “snake in the grass.”

And it was the latter subject which almost led to a full-on brawl breaking out with another Alpha Male bantamweight, Cody Garbrandt, in the filming of The Ultimate Fighter 22.

The shoving match has been teased for months, since before episode one had aired, but we finally saw what led to the skirmish when episode six was broadcast on Thursday morning.

McGregor continued to question Dillashaw’s loyalty after Mehdi Baghdad and Julian Erosa weighed in for this season’s fifth lightweight bout.

“Where’s the little snake? Where’s the little weasel? Has he got Duane [Ludwig] with him?” McGregor asked.

“I think you just don’t want to fight either of us,” Faber responded.

Garbrandt soon got involved in the discussion as he said “that’s why I can’t let you sit and talk shit about T.J. without saying something because that’s my fucking boy.”

Then the classic fight-starter slipped out of McGregor’s mouth as The Notorious asked: “Are you gonna do something about it?”

Cue the shoving, restraining and an absolute nightmare for the person in charge of bleeping out swear words.
