Northern Irish middleweight Karl Moore made a real statement at Cage Warriors Unplugged on Saturday night.
The event at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London may be best remembered for the main event that saw champion Paddy Pimblett score a contentious unanimous decision victory over Julian Erosa, before throwing up in the cage during his post-fight interview.
However, there was good news from an Irish perspective as Moore blasted his way through Spain's Paco Estevez. Moore stumbled the Spaniard with a swift combination in the first round before dropping him to the canvas with an uppercut followed by a right hook.
The referee immediately intervened once Estevez hit the canvas, awarding Moore the knockout victory at 3:23 of the opening round. The result sees Moore improve his professional record to 7-1 and he is now riding a two-fight win-streak.
