“I tip your wage, Nate.”
The acceptance speech that was never shown.
Conor McGregor didn’t so much use his video for World MMA Awards as a thank you than he did to put a few people in their places.
The Dubliner sent shockwaves through Vegas with his unique acceptance speech when he won the Fighters Only MMA Fighter of the Year award last weekend. However, he also clinched International Fighter of the Year but, for some reason or another, Fighters Only refused to air the second of McGregor’s speeches.
The UFC featherweight champion used that second video to have a go at Nate Diaz and Frankie Edgar and “some magazine that probably should owe me some money too.”
“I heard Nate Diaz couldn’t afford the flight over to Las Vegas for the ceremony,” he said in the speech that has finally been released.
“I heard [Frankie Edgar] is dressed like a Sheikh servant or something. Struggling to make a few quid.
“Hard work pays so take note. Stop holding bitterness deep in your bum soul, stuck on 20,000 to show and 20,000 to fight. I wipe my ass with that money.”
And, now, we move on to liars…
