Well, we now know who the definitive number one contender in the featherweight division is.
Frankie Edgar made a serious statement in the main event of the TUF 22 Finale card by finishing Chad Mendes in the first round.
Money appeared very sharp in the opening exchanges and actually stumbled the former lightweight champion with some huge leg kicks.
However, Edgar looked superb throughout the short fight, constantly scoring with lightning quick combinations and dancing out of the power-puncher's range.
Edgar finished the fight by flooring Mendes with a devastating combination. Mendes fell to the canvas in a heap, his arms went limp and the referee awarded Edgar the KO victory at 2.28 in the first.
Surely the New Jersey native will have earned himself the winner of Conor McGregor v Jose Aldo with his stunning performance.
