WATCH: Daniel Cormier’s reaction to finding out he would be fighting Anderson Silva at UFC 200

He may no longer be the headliner, but Daniel Cormier has a fight at UFC 200.

Jon Jones testing positive in a random drug test means that the highly anticipated light heavyweight title rematch was scrapped from the main event of the landmark card two days before fight night.

The scramble began to find a suitable last-minute replacement for DC and it was decided that living legend Anderson Silva would step in to take on the 205 lb champion in a three-round non-title fight, while the women’s bantamweight title fight between Miesha Tate and Amanda Nunes was bumped up to main event status.

Prior to Silva swooping in to save the day, it looked like Jones’ prediction of “every ounce of training DC put into this fight would be waste of his life” looked like it was set to come true, with no viable dancing partner available to come in.

However, that magical phone call finally came for DC and in the latest episode of UFC 200 Embedded, we got to see the heartwarming moment when he found out he’d be taking on the Spider. Check it out in the video embedded below from around the 3:55 mark.
