WATCH: CM Punk refused to shake Mickey Gall’s hand and Dana White was loving it

Good for business

“Let’s f**king go!”

CM Punk is ready for his UFC debut. He’s more than ready.

The former WWE star has been preparing 21 months for his mixed martial arts bow and he gets his chance, tonight, at UFC 203.

Punk, real name Phil Brooks, is up against 24-year-old Mickey Gall [MMA 2-0, UFC 1-0] at the PPV event in Cleveland, Ohio. There is huge interest in the main card fight with just as many set to tune in to cheer Punk on as there will be to see him lose.

Punk looked suitably amped at the televised weigh-ins and stare-downs. He refused Gall’s handshake and starred him down amid some trash-talking.

Indeed, Punk looked deadly serious right until Gall departed the stage.

He then broke out into a wide grin before yelling at the baying crowd. Dana White certainly enjoyed the antics.

Punk weigh-in

Asked by Megan Olivi, moments after, why he refused to shake Gall’s hand, Punk admitted he did not know before adding:

“I’m not here to shake anybody’s hand. I’m here to punch people in the face.”

We were tuning in anyway but this has added some more spice to the fight.
