But the technique is alive and well under the ONE Championship banner and yesterday we saw a truly devastating one.
Gianni Subba finished off a flyweight meeting against Thanh Vu with a crunching soccer kick to move to 5-1.
After dropping Vu with a gorgeous left hook, Subba let fly with the kick that came from around Vu’s corner and forced the referee to step in.
Ouch.
